James Fulton

James kicked off his career in 2012 with his friend Gary Kiernan who adored rallying. At that time James had no intention to become a professional co-driver.

Who is James?

In 2015 James started to taste the success in Irish rallying and continued to drive with the Moffett brothers for a few years, In 2020 he went more international with Barry McKenna and Callum Devine and begun in European and World Rally Championship. In 2021 he started to drive with his actual driver Josh McErlean.

End 2022 James was called to replace Craig Breen’s co-driver Paul Nagle, who decided to retire. Rally Japan became the first event in a WRCar, the dream of every co-driver, and the first event for an official WRC Team, M-Sport. Craig was so enthusiastic about the cooperation on such a demanding and difficult event as Japan that he requested James to continue their cooperation and drive together for Hyundai Motorsport.

The season kicked off very well with an outstanding performance on Rally Sweden, which resulted to a second place overall. Unfortunately on 13th April they had a dramatic testing accident.

Few weeks later James was requested by Kris Meeke to continue the Portuguese championship and their cooperation delivered immediately a win on Rally Castelo Branco.

Motorsport Ireland Academy also called on for his services to work again together with Jos McErlean in the European and World Championship.
